I don't know how the make up arteeests would feel about his...as if we are insulting them or something to that effect but I don't care. I always bring make up for my son...yes my SON, because the make up artists never seem to do it properly. In addition, when I start to attend to his make up myself I am usually practically reprimanded with and hit over the head with a blush brush followed by, "Oh I am going to do that!" Moreover, I can't stand when I suggest that my lilly white looking son needs a hint of cheek color or under eye concealer (especially during the winter) only to be met with, "Oh no! We want the kids to look NATURAL!" Don't they realize how much make up and blending is required to achieve a natural look...especially on children!? Finally, they NEVER use enough cover up around his eyes and when they do its never blended properly and then set with powder. Truth be told I think I do a much better job of attending to my child's make up than the so called pros on set! So there I go sneaking of to the john to do my sons makeup most of the time to fix it, add more, remove some it, change the color or blend it!! I don't enjoy having to sneak around to do it however I must. I was so livid when I once didn't attend to his make up as I was distracted or whatever and when I saw the pics they actually used waaay to much make up...I mean my boy looked as though he was wearing make up!! Not a good look. I am all for bringing ones own make to photoshoots up for cleanlesness sake and for I know what colors and make up brands work best on my kiddo. I am afraid though that until many more people feel this way I will continue to have to be stuck sneaking a makeup job on my sons face in the crapper! blend...blend...blend.
